  What a long and strange trip it has been for me.... Despite the many difficulties I had (with the emphasis on the 'I' part'), I finally was able to pass the CDL test this morning!
  
  That said, I will admit that when I started, I was concerned with the maintenance of the skill yard and the vehicles in use. During my time with them, I made some casual comments on what kinds of things would make the student experience more useful and effective as tools going forward. Some of those suggestions were taken to heart and applied, and some were put in motion. One of the greatest changes is still in process with the acquisition of new vehicles to train with and new cones to use to set up the skills range. Sadly, none of the pictures I took of the equipment saved to my camera and I cannot share them. They did, however, improve the student resource center with a couple of PC's with live internet access to submit applications to potential employers, they also improved the breakroom and kitchen areas.
  
  They also hired a new training coordinator and mostly new instructors, who are confident that they can stand behind ANY STUDENT, including the most hard headed of them all, ME; I say that I don't suffer from a genetic disorder, but I rather enjoy it... it's called PERSISTENCE! Some may call it being stubborn, but I don't see it that way.
  
  If you are considering a career as a commercial driver and need CDL training, I encourage you to speak with the staff there; and while there (they recently moved their main office so it is actually on the grounds of the school, which is a good thing) take the opportunity to observe some of the training and ask the instructors on hand any question that you may have.
  
  The instructors and staff have one goal in mind, and it is the same as yours: to get you skilled enough to pass the CDL tests with DMV, and in my experience, will go to great lengths to give you the tools you need to accomplish that.
